Women of Substance Vision for the Future
 

• Revive the Women of Substance program

• Increase membership

• Continue the networking of like minded women who have a commitment to help develop the community leaders of tomorrow

• Platform to socialise and network

• Support and promote Guides Queensland

• Continue the Mentor Breakfast for Year 11 young women from Brisbane secondary schools

• Establish Women of Substance groups in regional areas such as Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Cairns

• Utilise expertise of Women of Substance in the areas of:
                - State committees
                - State Council
                - State Executive (the Board of Guides Queensland)
• Establish a data base of professional and career women to act as mentors at the annual Women of Substance Mentor Breakfast

• Establish a weekend of Excellence following the Mentor Breakfast

• Provide or support with sponsorship where appropriate

• Investigate the possibility of a young Women of Substance program

• Establish electronic communication

• Create further community and government recognition in support of Guides Queensland’s strategic plan.
